Rim sidewalls sit closest to the ground and catch everything the trail throws up. Stone strikes on the leading edge, tyre levers biting into the bead during a trailside repair, rock gardens scraping the outer wall, and grit working away at the finish every ride. On carbon rims that surface damage is the first thing a buyer inspects. On alloy it is where the anodising goes.
Wheel Armour is a clear protection film cut for the sidewall band between the spoke nipples and the bead, on both sides of the rim. It takes the abrasion so the rim underneath does not.
